We welcome you to Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Catholic Church in Maskwacis, Alberta.

We are a Catholic community of Indigenous people who pray together using the traditions of our Cree culture.

Through Baptism in our Lord Jesus Christ and through the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, we, all the members of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Parish, with the aid of the Holy Spirit, commit ourselves to: growing in the knowledge and love of Jesus and His Mother and  making it available to others.

By sharing our time, talents and gifts we want to spread the Good News. And by learning, sacrificing and working together we will grow in active stewardship for the glory and honor of God.

We want to walk together, to pray together and to work together, so that the sufferings of the past can lead to a future of justice, healing and reconciliation.” (Pope Francis July 22, 2025)

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament:

• Every Thursday: from 6:30 PM – 7:30  PM.

In silent and prolonged prayer before the Lord, we allow ourselves to be molded by Him. We are like vessels in the potter’s hands. In adoration before the Blessed Sacrament, we let our souls speak with their Creator; there, no human words can replace His language. God speaks, and the soul listens.
